The Little Lamb (extra)

We finally got to those Sheep cupcakes...and we bought the book The little lamb...all that hard work to make them cute..

...and now......just a stack of cupcake papers. ..LOL..

Baby B got a new light up BUNNY pen... ...and she has been wearing the "bunny ears" all week...
For lunch we got to have Bernie O's
...(like Spaghetti O's in a bunny shape) We also had bunny shaped graham crackers.
This is our finished lapbook...in it we have parts of a rabbit...baby bunny cards...handprint bunnies....Little Bunny Foo Foo rhyme book...drawn and textured flip book on our trip to the pet store..
This is our experiment...the bunny BEFORE water..
..everyday we check it ...B says "IS IT GROWING YET MOMMY!!??!? IS it BIGGER?!?!" This is the recycled pickle jar that is GROWING our bunny.

The Little Rabbit

Well, we started "the little rabbit" this week....In the story..Sarah (the little girl) gets a rabbit for Easter, in her basket. The rabbit and Sarah have several adventures. It's a cute story, the pages are not illustrated, they are photographed.

We have been talking about rabbits, and baby rabbits (bunnies). Baby B chose this unit, as I wanted to do "the Carrot Seed". This book did not have alot of the ready made "helps" so , the lapbook and activities are going to be all me...LOL pray for success...HA HA

We went to the mall today to see the pet store...and of course check out the bookstore. We went to two pet stores before we found one lil bunny. According to Baby B "the rabbit was getting mad and needed to run". She actually pet it...she is not really too found of touching animals yet, as shes thinks they are a bit "creepy" . We also, made lil handprint bunnies. We traced her hand onto paper...then cut the middle finger off and folded the thumb and pinkie in. I will take pics and show it better when we are done with the lapbook.
But, yesterday When we were talking about baby animals, we came across this great website with tonz and tonz of baby animal photos. People have sent in pics of baby animals from monkeys to hippos.. We must have spent an hour or so looking at them and picking out a few "bunny" photos to make cards for our lapbook. She probably would have sat their for at least another hour.. she loved it..
It is so cute the growth I have seen in her in just a few weeks of "channeling". I mean we have always read, and colored, etc..it's just nice to feel like we are doing this with a purpose..

Easter morning 2008

"Gus" looked soo handsome. He has his cute little new tie that matches his new, yellow and blue shirt. He looks like such a "boy" now. So much for keeping him a baby..LOL
"Baby B"...was so excited. She got to wear her new Easter dress and hat to church this morning...This is the first time we have not had curly hair and big bows...so the hat was really special to her. (and I still curled her hair...LOL)
So while I was finishing my make-up, Gus got an empty cologne bottle out of the garbage, threw it, and... did a great fillet on his finger tip...man there was blood all over.. and it was a pretty good cut. We cleaned up as fast as we could and ended up being ten minutes late....I was so frustrated, between being late to church on Easter, and sitting there thinking I maybe SHOULD have taken him to the hospital...it took me a few minutes to get in line with the spirit...(sigh).. the things mom's go through on Sunday mornings...LOL
Now all cleaned up and ready to go, we snapped another picture...Happy lil kids, huh?....We do not do the Easter Bunny until after church on Easter...we put Jesus first, and "the bunny" comes while we are at church... Just think, they didn't even realize there was supposed to be "a bunny", until we got to church and other people asked them what the bunny brought...(giggle)..
Gramma B had to work, so we took the kids straight from church the nursing center that she works at...the residents were so happy to see the kids.. and all dressed up too... One older guy said," That right there is the WHOLE meaning of life", as he lovingly pat Gus on the head. Boy did he speak the truth... On a day that was so frustrating for me, I was immediately humbled again at "God's" words....,"That right there is the WHOLE meaning of life" : )

Easter Egg Hunt in WYOMING!!

The weather was sooo nice all week, and we were invited to go to our friends house to hunt eggs on Saturday...and look what we woke up to??!!
Oh well, it was still fun and there were alot of our friends hunting for eggs too.
There were little kids running allo ver the perfectly placed eggs on 6 yards both front and back. The "scramble" to get them all picked up before the snow covered them, was great to see. Older siblings helping the younger ones gather the treat filled eggs..what a GREAT time of year.

Corduroy

We finished our unit on Corduroy. We discussed the letter "F"...manners, patterns, homes, friends, and animals.
She loves this...can you tell? We took a trip with daddy to Powell, so we got to do "school" in the coach. We also, talked about Easter.

Gus Gus

This isn't all about "Baby B"... so here is some info on Gus Gus.

At 14 months.. there is not much this kid hasn't done. Spilled baking soda all over the kitchen floor, played in an outdoor fountain, ate a whole bag of cheetos, "invented" a NEW way to play with a doll house, ripped up Baby B's "schoolwork", flushed HUGE amounts of TP down the toilet... and that was a few of the highlights from just the past 10 days or so. He is such a funny lil guy. When the phone rings...he hollars out "Hello"?

Getting ready for Easter...

This was our latest "project" we had to wait until "Gus Gus" went to bed...because he makes a big mess of things..(He just wants to be a part of everything).
One of these cute cottonball sheep are going to Gramma B at work.... With a note that reads "I Love EWE!.. ".. We are also making sheep cupcakes...hopefully we can get to them tomorrow.. and post pics of them. She is LOVING this!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day

What a FUN DAY! We wore green in the morning...made a few BIG messes and ended up changing clothes several times, each time trying to accomodate the "GREEN" factor. By dinner...we had to point the green out on our outfits...
This is the lapbook we did for St Patty's. I downloaded the FNL from FIAR..a nd few other things that we had found. Bryndal is soo proud of her book....
For dinner we had green applesauce, lasgna, and green dinner rolls that we made from scratch. It was soooo fun, she wants to have a different color day...EVERYDAY!

B4FIAR Homeschool

Well, we just got our B4FIAR manual in the mail about a week ago.. and we have done a unit on St Patrick's Day and we are working on Corduroy...and Spring. Bryndal is so cute...she loves to learn....read...write...sing...color...CUT!!!! and new fav GLUE!!

Along with our home studies she has made several "projects" a HUGE flower--made of her own handprints.....we planted flowers, but we have yet to see anything but a cup of mud. We will post pictures when we can see growth. She LOVED every second of glueing! (and as you can see very proud of her HUGE flower)..
